Hallmark Dance Like an Elf

Need a Brain Break?  To keep us focused the entire month of December, we will be dancing like an elf with our North Pole Dance Moves!  We bought ours at Walmart for under $20.  Brain Breaks can be used to energize your students or calm them down.  This is so much fun for kids(and adults) and is perfect when the kiddos need a quick pick me up!

Elf On The Shelf! Look who's arrived from the North Pole?  Since Thanksgiving, "Elfie" has been visiting us! After reading "Elf On The Shelf" we decided to name him. Each morning, "Elfie" leaves us a sweet message or a treat! This is such a cute holiday activity for kids.

Sweet Sight Words! One of our Elf adventures this week was going on a candy cane scavenger hunt.  "Elfie" left us notes around the house with some of our sight words on them! He wrote the sight words onto Post-It-Notes and hid them around the house with candy canes attached!

ELF Literacy and Math! I wanted something to use with our Elf On the Shelf, so I created our latest literacy and math pack.  We read our booklet filled with Elf mischief in the classroom and played our Elf 10 Frame Game! This is a great way to extend your classroom's North Pole visitor! Click on the image above to check out this Elf Literacy and Math Pack!

Currently December

Happy Monday:) We are linking up with Farley for a December CURRENTLY.

I can't believe we are in December already.  Christmas is just around the corner.  We are getting some help from the Laurie Berkner Band, to get us in the Christmas spirit.  We love her latest Christmas album!

Well, even though we won't be getting snow anytime soon, we did get some cooler weather!

This week for family movie night, we will be gathered in front of our television, wearing our pajamas, drinking hot chocolate, and watching the Polar Express.

Be sure to check out our latest Polar Express math & literacy pack, inspired by the movie itself!
